My Smart Charger does not connect to WiFi. What should I do?

Modified on Tue, 21 Jan at 11:19 AM

If you encounter any problems with WiFi, please ensure that:

    1.    The SSID (visible name) and password of the network are correct.

    2.    The signal strength is sufficient. A good indicator is to have at least 2/3 bars on a smartphone.

    3.    The network operates on 2.4 GHz frequency (b/g/n standards).

    4.    The the WiFi network uses WPA-2 for authentication.

Or:

    5.    Try disabling the 5 GHz band if it broadcasts over the same SSID as the 2.4 GHz one, or try splitting it into a separate network (e.g. SSID-5G).

Please also note that it might take up to 5 minutes for the device to connect to the WiFi network.
