Upgrading the firmware with a Micro SD card

Primary local update method is via the USB port of the central control unit.
To find out how to do it with USB, click here.


Step 1: Prepare the Micro SD card 

Format the storage device to FAT32.

For contents of the storage device, please submit a ticket.

Unzip the package to the Micro SD card.


Step 3: Locate the central control unit of the device

For 30 kW model:


For 60 kW model:


For 120/180 kW models:


Step 3: Turn the central control unit off


To turn the central control unit off, switch off the Q3 MCCB:



Step 4: Insert the Micro SD card into the central control unit

Step 5: Locating the BOOT button 


Locate the BOOT button on the central control unit:

Step 6: Launch the update


To launch the update from the Micro SD card:

  1. Hold the BOOT button.
  2. While holding the button, turn the Q3 MCB on.
  3. Release the button when 5 consecutive beeps are heard.

The update will start immediately and will take around 5 minutes. 



Step 7: Finishing up


A continuous beep will indicate that the update is done.

At that point:

  1. Turn the Q3 MCB off.
  2. Take out the Micro SD card
  3. Calibrate the touchscreen once charger is booted. Calibrating instructions can be found here.
