1. Component replacement
All replacements must be carried out by qualified personnel and with voltage disconnected by a MCB responsible for the circuit charger is connected to.
Leave the charger for at least 5 minutes to de-energize.
1.1 Charging cable
1. Open the charger by pressing the two barbs under the charger and take out the decorative cover. Loosen the six screws of the cover and take out the cover.
2. Loosen the two screws holding the metal cable bracket and the isolating gland below it.
3. On the left side – pull out each individual wire while pressing in the orange fixating pin. The wires should come out without resistance.
4. Pull the charging cable out.
5. To reinstall the cable, repeat the steps the other way around.
Do not put excessive pressure on the terminals or the charging cable.
When tightening the metal cable bracket, leave some slack between terminals and bracket pressure point.
1.2 LCD/RFID assembly
1. After opening the front cover, remove the 4 screws holding the assembly. Note the original location of the screws.
2. Push the two fixating latches outwards from the connector to release the data cable.
3. Place the removed assembly on a soft flat surface. Loosen the two screws holding the RFID board to the LCD board.
4. Unplug the Molex connector from the RFID board and separate the units.
5. Replace the RFID board or LCD board.
6. For reassembly, repeat the steps from finish to start. Before reassembling, make sure all assembly parts are on hand:
• 2 pcs. Plastic nuts.
• 2 pcs. Plastic RFID-LCD spacers.
• 2 pcs. Screws.
• RFID-LCD Molex cable.
• LCD board.
• RFID board.
1.3 Socket lock actuator
1. After opening the front cover, disconnect the actuator cable from the mainboard.
2. On top of the Type 2 socket, remove the two screws holding the actuator to the assembly.
3. Lift the actuator from its place.
4. Install the new actuator by repeating the steps from finish to start. Make sure the actuator is screwed down all the way to ensure proper operation.
1.4 Mainboard
1. Remove the LCD/RFID assembly as described in section 1.2.
2. Disconnect all the connectors from the mainboard. In total there are 7 (8 for socket version), including the SMA for WiFi antenna.
3. Loosen the three screws holding the mainboard
4. Unscrew the standoff holding the mainboard in place. Do this by hand or gently with a 5 mm hex socket.
5. Remove the mainboard from the charger and unscrew the standoff to use with a replacement mainboard. The standoff is held with a plastic nut on the other side.
6. Make sure that the DIP switch configuration on replacement mainboard is identical to the one’s that has been removed in previous step.
7. Reinstall the mainboard by following the same steps from finish to start.
Note that the charger must be reconfigured according to the installation set up.
