Your AC EV Charger is designed for minimal maintenance and built to last. However, to ensure the charger performs at its best, regularly following these simple checks will help keep it in optimal working order.
1. Visual Inspection (Monthly)
- Check for Physical Damage: Inspect the charger casing, cables, and connectors for any visible damage or wear. Report any issues immediately.
- Cable Condition: Ensure charging cable(s) are not twisted, frayed, or under strain, especially where they connect to the charger or plug.
2. Cleanliness (Quarterly)
- Dust and Dirt: Wipe the charger casing and cable with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and dirt. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the surface.
- Connector Maintenance: Periodically check and gently clean the charging plug and connectors to ensure they are free of debris, dust, or moisture, which could affect charging performance.
3. Weather Protection (As Needed)
- If the charger is located outdoors, ensure that it is shielded from extreme weather conditions where possible. Verify that any covers or protective housings are intact and in place.
4. Functional Test (Semi-Annually)
- Charging Test: Perform a simple test by plugging in a compatible EV to verify that the charger is operating as expected. Report any unusual sounds, indicator light issues, or performance concerns to technical support.
5. Reporting Issues
- Prompt Reporting: For any abnormalities, such as unusual sounds, fluctuating power, or physical damage, contact our technical support team. Addressing minor issues early can prevent interruptions in service.
- When contacting Morek, please Submit a ticket to our support center.
Note: These guidelines are provided to help maintain optimal performance and longevity of the charger. Our AC chargers are maintenance-free and do not require servicing under normal usage conditions.
